San Antonio students prepare for annual Fiesta Sustainable Fashion show

Penny BenavidezAs San Antonio prepares for its massive Fiesta celebration — now 10 days away — complimentary gatherings are cropping up all above the city. One this sort of party is as eco-aware as it is stylish. The Fiesta Sustainable Style Demonstrate will acquire location on Wednesday, March 23.
In its fifth 12 months, the general public celebration is a collaboration in between Goodwill and pupils from Stevens High University. Led by Northside ISD instructor Christine Donovan, the display will curate extra than 20 2nd-hand seems by students in the school’s Entrepreneurship and Style Method.
Donovan was the recipient of the 2021 Texas Style Awards Qualified of the Year award, is an Agosto Cuellar award-profitable sustainable manner designer, and serves as a Goodwill Shopper Knowledge Manager. She has guided college students to think creatively when crafting their sustainable outfits.
In advance of the exhibit, all taking part pupils volunteered at regional Goodwill suppliers to understand about sustainable style and retail. All seems to be on the Goodwill runway will be offered to obtain immediately after the show.
