Kadapa: The Kadapa I-Town law enforcement arrested a jewelry shop staff and recovered stolen assets well worth Rs. 1.2 crore and hard cash Rs. 45,000 from him. The arrest was created inside five hours of obtaining the grievance, the law enforcement said.
According to the police, Shaik Masood, a resident of Nakash in Kadapa town, has been doing work at Mehtab jewellery store for the earlier 20 years. He had obtained the self confidence of the shop proprietor Shaik Masthan.
Recently, Masood had presented surety to safe a bank loan for his relative. Nonetheless, the relative failed to repay the mortgage and the lenders started off putting force on Masood. Following this, he arrived up with a system to safe money to shell out off the creditors.
Every morning, Masood utilised to go to the shop owner’s property to choose up the keys to open up the store. Shaik Masthan would arrive to the store soon after Masood arrived. With this in brain, the accused had made a duplicate of the keys and kept them with him.
On 11 May perhaps, Shaik Masthan and Masood locked the shop and went household for lunch. But Masood came back again to the shop afterwards and opened the shutters with his replicate keys. He stole 2.66 kg of gold jewellery and Rs. 45,000 money.
Shaik Mastan came to the shop at 3 p.m and found the shop had been robbed. He instantly complained to Kadapa I-City CI T.V Satyanarayana. Based on his grievance, a situation was registered underneath sections 454 and 380 of the IPC and an investigation was released.
The police claimed Masood was on his way to Tirupati just after thieving the gold. He was arrested when the cops were being conducting checks at the Balu Palli check-write-up around Railway Koduru.
