AfriSam empowers local entrepreneurs | Roodepoort Record

 

AfriSam (a supplier of development materials) provided free of charge business enterprise capabilities training to 24 nearby entrepreneurs. Their graduation ceremony was held on Friday, 28 June at the AfriSam Organization Improvement Centre.

“At AfriSam, we realize that growing smaller, medium and micro enterprises (SMMEs) is important for broadening financial participation and delivering on our country’s financial improvement objectives” explained Jabu Motlhako, Enterprise and Provider Enhancement Expert at AfriSam

According Jabu, AfriSam’s Company and Provider Enhancement Programme identifies, empowers and improves the capacities of black-owned SMMEs that operate in shut proximity to the company’s operations. One more important purpose of the programme is to present the entrepreneurs with the required assistance and create them to increase their corporations and ultimately be incorporated in AfriSam’s database of registered sellers.

AfriSam selected 24 black SMMEs from communities shut to its Eikenhof and Roodepoort operations for the training programme. The entrepreneurs had been from different industries ranging from catering, building and residence growth.”The training was incredibly useful to me simply because it coated a variety of subject areas such as beginning a company and retaining it, as properly as dealing with the funds.
